Halley's basic functionality was completed about a week ago. It.. well, it works. I'm somewhat surprised that it all came together in such a short time. Pretty much everything proposed has been done.
There's a lot of work left to do before it's ready for a public release as version 1.0, though. I need to write documentation as I put together a more substantial sample application. I need to encounter what problems applications developers will encounter so I can fix them. I need to make Halley configurable without mucking around in the library code. I need to implement some kind of configurable logging, possibly using log4perl. I need to do more browser compatibility testing.
At the moment, though, I am giving a short talk about the project in the morning, so I will concentrate on getting ready for that.
Version 0.7 of Halley is available on what will be the project information site, http://halley.eqv.ca/.
